Our Dad sold everything he had to open the doors of his very own meat market in 1981. We started very small and built a business around honesty, quality customer service, quality products, and having a clean store. As a family we strive to produce quality products that we are proud to sell and eat ourselves. From the very beginning our father kept each individual deer processing order separate. Through his careful planning and obsessive nature he was able to make good on the promises to his customers that “YOU WILL GET BACK THE DEER YOU BROUGHT IN”. It was a pain staking process but our customers love knowing that such care and attention went into the handling of their game processing. Today we have grown exponentially but we still take extra care to guarantee our customers that the deer they leave with us will be the deer they get back. Unlike most plants, we welcome our customers to into our plant to observe just how we keep all processing orders separate and to view the extra effort taken NOT to batch orders. WE NEVER MIX ORDERS!
We use only quality meat in our products. We use only 72% lean boneless picnics with no extra fat added. We do not use fillers, cereal, or water in our sausages just to make a few extra pennies. Our aim is to produce quality products that our customers can proud of. We only use natural hog and sheep casings with no artificial coloring on our smoked sausages. This means that the smoke color you see on our sausages is a result of properly smoking with Natural Pecan Wood Logs and not from dyed sausage casings. We still use the same smoker that our Dad used in 1981 to smoke our jerky and dry sausages. Our dry products are truly Old Fashioned Slow Smoked with Natural Pecan Wood, not cooked or smoldered.
Our packaging is designed with the customer in mind. We vacuum pack all fresh cuts and ground products in flat packages for faster thawing and easier stacking in the freezer at home. Additionally, all smoked products are shrink wrapped in order to preserve freshness and quality. SHRINK WRAPPING is a form of vacuum packaging that is more robust and keeps products fresher longer.
What sets us apart from other deer processors are all the extra ways we strive to produce the highest quality of products and services that our Wild Game customers deserve. We have begun construction on a new plant in order to continue to provide same old fashioned service and smoked products. We really like what we do and will not change. Our promise is that “WE WILL NOT CHANGE BECAUSE WE ARE GROWING, WE ARE SIMPLY GROWING BECAUSE WE HAVEN’T CHANGED”.
